About Me:
Bienvenidos! I am a Bilingual EL Mathematics teacher and have been at Amundsen since 2011.
My experience in education has ranged from teaching first grade to high school. Prior to this, I taught general music and band for 12 years. Music and mathematics are an important part of a student's educational experience.
This year I will be hosting a Creative & Design program after school. A fun, interactive crafting class using the Cricut Maker 3, Cricut Mug press, and Cricut Easy Press. Students would be able to make their own designs and see them featured on mugs or t-shirts. Students can design and make school spirit gear and crafts.
In addition, I represent the Amundsen teachers at our school as one of two Delegates for the Chicago Teacher's Union.
I believe that every student has the potential to learn mathematics, even if they have not had success in their previous academics. I live for the times that I hear a student say, "I get it!"
