Science

The Amundsen Science Department seeks to provide a challenging 21st Century education that prepares students for college and allows them to function as responsible and contributing members of society.  The courses offered are inquiry-based laboratory classes that incorporate critical thinking skills, technological applications, cooperative learning, interdisciplinary themes, and problem-solving techniques.

All students are expected to graduate with 3 years of science. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are graduation requirements for all CPS students. In our program, the student takes Biology as a freshman, Chemistry as a sophomore, Physics as a junior, and can take electives as a senior.
