As Amundsen’s Director of Operations, Reginald Williams is responsible for the financial operations, general business, and administrative support functions of the school.  This includes fiscal planning; budgeting; accounting activities; purchasing of supplies, equipment, and services; talent management and acquisition; nutrition support; transportation services; and internal auditing.  Mr. Williams is also a Business Education Instructor, teaching Introduction to Business, a Dual Credit course with Truman College.

 

Prior to joining Amundsen HS in July 2012, Mr. Williams was the Business Manager for the Chicago Public Schools’ Chief Area Office 19. Responsible for the CAO department budget, and supporting 15 High School principals, Mr. Williams was instrumental helping schools develop transformative budgets that foster impactful education environments. In addition to his time supporting a network of high schools, Mr. Williams provided city-wide support to over 80 high schools during his time working as a Senior Budget Analyst at the CPS central office from 2000-2009.

 

Mr. Williams holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Computer Science from Western Illinois University.  He is also a licensed Chief School Business Official, and Career and Technical Educator with endorsements to teach Business Management, Finance, and Information Technology for grades 5-12.  For more information about Reginald’s professional and academic experience, please visit: https://www.linkedin.com/in/reginald-d-williams-iii-67818924.
