Ms. Wohler Physics 2023/24

Hi there, everyone! My name is Ms. Wohler. This school year, I will be teaching four (4) sections of 11th grade physics, and one (1) section of AP Physics 1-Algebra Based.

A bit about me…

I graduated with a bachelor of science in Biology with an Ecology emphasis from Loyola University Chicago in 2019. During my undergraduate studies at Loyola I had the chance to participate in some really great opportunities both on and off campus. During the week you could often find me in the Student Activities and Greek Affairs office serving students as the registered student organization Executive Director, or in the dance studios practicing for one of the three dance groups I was a part of. I also spent many hours studying an array of topics in the interdisciplinary honors program and pride myself today on creating a classroom environment where students learn valuable connections between science and other subjects. On the weekends you could find me working in various roles at the Brookfield Zoo. I was lucky enough to spend 5 years supporting a wide range of projects including education research, tour guiding, supervising the teen volunteer program, and even performing as a dinosaur during the summer months. Working at Brookfield Zoo deeply shaped my identity and my love for all things nature!

I graduated again from Loyola University Chicago in 2020 with a master of education in secondary education. Part of my graduate program was being named a Robert Noyce Scholar. This program supports the educational goals of high quality science teachers through thoughtful mentorship, professional development, and service to our communities.

This is my fourth year as an educator in Chicago Public Schools, and my third year here at Amundsen. When I am not teaching, you can find me coaching the varsity dance team, working as a sponsor for the yearbook. Please feel free to connect with me at any time with questions or concerns you may as we navigate this year together. GOOOO VIKINGSSS!!
