Excited to be a Viking!
A brief introduction of myself: I am a first year teacher here at Amundsen High School in the Diverse Learner Department. I recently graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education and a Minor in Applied Psychology. While I may be new to teaching, I have worked with people with disabilities for over 10 years. I also volunteer with two organizations committed to the empowerment of kids, teens and adults living with a disability: Best Buddies and Miss Amazing Inc.
Sports was a huge aspect of my high school career, which was the driving force behind becoming the Freshman Girl's Volleyball coach. More recently, I joined the Amundsen Special Olympics coaching team and spend time after school helping to train our athletes.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, reading books with my book club, and watching movies.
