Here is a little bit about myself:
I have been teaching special education at Amundsen High School since 2007. I love teaching the students at Amundsen! I have a passion for students with special needs. I grew up with brother with special needs who has lived in Iceland for most of his life.
Amundsen vikings are some of the most dedicated, motivated, hard working students! A little about me; I am Icelandic. I spend all my summers in Iceland with my family relaxing, hiking, exploring nature, and this year we visited the volcanic eruption. I strive to inspire all my students to enjoy science and see how it is part of our daily lives. My co teachers and myself work together to make science more tangible, relatable and interesting for all our students with diverse needs. I actively provide check in's and one on one support during class time for our students with IEP's. Accommodations and modifications are applied according to the Individual Education Plans of the students. All students can succeed is my motto! I look forward to getting to know all of my students this year and having fun with them!
