Hello Everyone!  Welcome to Amundsen.  I am excited to be a teacher here where I teach freshman biology and senior anatomy and physiology.
I grew up in Chicago and I am a proud graduate of the Chicago Public Schools.  I love science and all the fascinating and crazy things that make science fun to learn.  I earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I graduated with honors and did a senior thesis on Fish Ecology and Benthic Invertebrates while interning at the Illinois Natural History Survey.  Upon graduation, I worked at the Shedd Aquarium in Verterinary Services, performing water quality analysis and animal healthcare.  I moved on to do fish behavior research at Loyola University Chicago, and earned my Master's degree in Education from Loyola as well.  Working with volunteers and undergraduate students helped me to realize my passion for teaching.
The best and fastest way to contact me is through email: keenglund@cps.edu

I am available during 5th and 6th periods for students to stop by room 317 to conference with me. Exception: 6th period Tuesday and Thursday I have teacher meetings.

I stay after school until 4:15pm almost every day in room 317. Please email me if you would like to meet after school, parents or students. Thank you!
