2018-2019: Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory (Friday, February 22-23, 2019)
In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. Called a "powerful" and "engrossing" drama by critics, Radium Girls offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science.

Williams Shakespeare’s comedy about betrayal, the magic arts, and revenge is transferred to the Caribbean in an original adaptation with a bilingual script, being performed at Amundsen for the first time! Over a decade ago, Próspero was Duke of San Juan. Being of a bookish disposition, he withdrew more and more into his studies, leaving the management of his state to his brother. Eventually, Próspero and his baby daughter Miranda were put to sea in a rotten boat and landed on a distant island once ruled by the witch Sycorax but now inhabited only by her son, Calibán, and Ariel, a spirit.

2022-2023: 12 Angry Jurors adapted by Sherman L. Sergel. Based on the Emmy award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose (November 11-12, 2022)
A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. "He doesn't stand a chance," mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others' eyes to the facts. "This is a remarkable thing about democracy," says the foreign-born juror, "that we are notified by mail to come down to this place—and decide on the guilt or innocence of a person; of a man or woman we have not known before. We have nothing to gain or lose by our verdict. We should not make it a personal thing." But personal it is, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become 12 angry men.
