Cameron McConnell

I am excited to begin my eighth year at Amundsen High School. This year my roles at Amundsen include teaching World Studies and Senior Seminar and being the head varsity baseball coach. I grew up in the Chicagoland area the youngest of three children in a household that always stressed the importance of education. I earned a baseball scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, where I graduated in 2011. In 2018 I earned my Masters in Education from Cameron University, where I also was an assistant baseball coach.

 

I believe in empowering students to find their unique, individual voices by creating a culture that allows students' voices to be heard and valued. Every day students will be challenged to think critically and I strive to push all students to become global citizens by increasing their knowledge of the world. Students will also be pushed towards college readiness by improving their self-advocacy and responsibility.
