Amundsen families, can you host a student from Japan for a week in March?
Amundsen’s Japanese program is partnering with Whitney Young to coordinate family hosts for around 60 Japanese high school students visiting Chicago the week of March 18-25. As part of this, Amundsen is looking for 30 families to host a student in their home for this week.
The Japanese students will attend Amundsen with their American host student and share in your family’s life for the week. For Amundsen students taking Japanese, it’s a great language opportunity, but it is not a requirement that someone in your family is taking Japanese or speaks the language.
Are you interested in this great opportunity for cultural exchange and fun? Want to learn more? Please email Amundsen’s Japanese teacher, Rolf Pelkey, for further information: [email protected].
