Amundsen IB Seniors named Questbridge Scholars!

Congratulations to Amundsen IB Seniors Kailey G., Eduardo E-F., and Javier C., who were recently named Questbridge Scholars for the Class of 2022. Questbridge Scholars receive full-ride scholarships to prestigious universities throughout the United States. We congratulate these Vikings on this amazing accomplishment! We are so proud of you!

CPS clinics will be offering the Pfizer vaccine for all CPS students 5 and older and their family members. The vaccine is FREE, SAFE, and EFFECTIVE at protecting individuals against COVID-19. With school in session, vaccinating our communities NOW is more important than ever.

Civic Orchestra of Chicago Back at Amundsen!

This week Amundsen welcomed back arts partner Chicago Civic Orchestra to mentor our orchestra classes. 6 members of the orchestra worked with our 7th and 8th period students and will be returning on a weekly basis to Mr. Reidy's orchestra classes. We are so excited to welcome them back to our school and so grateful for their continued partnership. (

In observance of International Pronoun Day this last week, Amundsen's Gender-Sexuality Alliance is creating custom pronoun buttons for students and staff! Proceeds go towards future GSA activities. Follow the link to request your custom button!

Viking Winter Food Drive December 6th to the 15th

Please join Amundsen's Taste the Difference Club in supporting the Viking Winter Food Drive with your donations of canned goods between December 6th and December 15th. Items will be collected each day during 1st period classes. All donations benefit Common Pantry, a local non-profit. Thank you!
