3/25 Spring has Sprung in Google Classroom

3/25 Spring has Sprung

Today we are going to investigate Botany, which is the study of plants. Today you are going to take a picture of a budding tree and identify the tree. I suggest you go outside. Again keep 6 feet away from any other people. Now that it is Spring, many trees are coming out of dormancy (like hibernation) and starting to bud and grow. Take a picture of the buds on trees, or draw a picture. Look at the bark and the size of the tree. You may want to do this for more than one tree. You will then research one tree. You can use a tree identification app https://www.plantsnap.com/ or you can Google search “how to identify a tree from its bud”. Once you identify your tree, create a tree identification document and submit it to this assignment. Include in your document your tree bud picture or drawing, the name of the tree, a picture of the tree with full leaves and/or flowers, and at least two interesting facts about the tree. I have attached a sample document
