Welcome to English 2! In this class we will read, discuss, and analyze different genres of literature. We will practice reading strategies and use the writing process to interact with complex texts. We will develop speaking and listening skills to communicate about these texts as well as about ourselves and about the world around us. Our areas of growth are CEA Writing, Analytical Annotations, MYP Approaches to Learning (ATLs), the IB Leaner Profile Traits. We will be examining informational materials, prose (both fiction and nonfiction), and poetry.
