Comparing Timbre: "Creep" by Radiohead

Timbre is defined as: The quality of sound that makes it unique.

When you analyze music, you need to talk about the timbre.
Here are some simple questions that will help you address timbre.

What instruments do you hear?
What is the size of the group performing.
What family of instruments are used.
Are there any instruments being altered. (ie….electric guitar with distortion pedal)
Describe the unique sounds an instrument is making when being played.

To get an insight into the type of timbres you like to listen to, you should compare and contrast different versions of the same song.
