Proclamation 1763 (EXAMPLE)
Explanation It was a law that forbid the colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains. The British enacted this law as a favor to Native Americans living there for their help during the French and Indian War.


Impact The British could not enforce this law logistically and the colonists began to have a disregard for laws the British passed that they did not agree with.
