This week we're going to learn about the different civil rights movements o he 1950s and 60s in the United States. There were more movements than just the African American struggle led by Dr. Martin Luther King. The civil rights movements of the 50s and 60s included the following:
African American Civil Rights Movement
Native American Civil Rights Movement
Women's Civil Rights Movement
LGBT Civil Rights Movement

You need to choose any ONE of these to conduct research on and answer the questions on the document. There is a link to background information about each of these movements at the to of the document that I've created for you.

There's 7 questions. An easy way to divide this up is to answer one question a day and submit it on Sunday.

Make a connection between the conditions depicted in the photograph and the necessity for the creation of the New Deal program asked about. There are only two questions for you to answer. Type your answer directly into the document and make sure that you submit it. There's a rubric attached to this assignment to assist you in your answer creation. We will go over how to write an appropriate answer to each of the two questions during tomorrow's virtual class @9 or 2.

This is the only assignment for this week. If you haven't completed last week's assignment for this this class, or others, it's no too late! Next week we will move on to a new topic.

You can translate this assignment into another language, if you need to, by going to TOOLS located in the ribbon at the top of the document. If you scroll about halfway down under Tools, you will see the option TRANSLATE DOCUMENT.

This assignment is due Sunday 5/17 at midnight.

The watch the two videos. Use your QAR Question Stems to write three level 1 questions and three level 2 questions ABOUT EACH VIDEO.

Read and analyze the information in the documents. Decide whether the evidence contained in each document supports the fact that the New Deal was a success or a failure.
