Theater Arts 19-20-Period 2 Assignments

Since we can't write our own shows (how we usually end the school year), we are going to design escape rooms this year. Remember that Monday, June 6th is the final day to turn in missing work for class!

This is the alternative assignment. Complete EITHER set design or this project over the next few weeks.

Tuesday through Thursday- View a professional production online to evaluate their set design.

Please complete our end of year survey by Thursday at midnight. It should take you about 10 minutes to finish. I am collecting your names just so I can give you credit in gradebook for completing the assignment. Please be honest. I am looking for feedback to improve this class for future years and I need to know what you think needs work!

If you chose to complete the Set Design assignment (instead of the Children's Book Rap), this is the first of two assignments this week.

Complete the reading and set design notes packet. This is due by Friday at midnight.

Thursday- Monday- View a professional production online to evaluate their costumes.

Monday- Post design on Google Chat and leave feedback for other students.
Tuesday- Edit ONE of your designs from last week based on the feedback you received.
Wednesday- Write your Director's Statement describing the choices you made.

Monday- View the presentations describing the project.
Tuesday- Discuss the project on Google Chat. Complete the planning page.
Wednesday-Friday- Design the first draft of your two costumes (front and back).

Monday- This week we are starting on costume design. Today, read the “Color Theory” document on Google Classroom and complete the reading guide.
Wednesday and Thursday- Read the "Costume Design" document on Google Classroom and complete the reading guide.

Complete this script analysis worksheet for your chosen monologue. Remember, you should have an answer for all sections (not all answers will be directly stated in the text, use your imagination and decision making skills!).

Directions for your extra credit opportunity are below. It must be typed and uploaded here by January 3rd to receive your extra credit. You can receive up to 20 pts.

Watch the video about your job tonight (they are 5-8 minutes long). Be ready to share your answers to the following questions with the class tomorrow.
