A hard copy will be provided in class.  YOUR study guide may be used during the exam.  It is in your best interest to ask about any item you don't know or aren't sure about.  This is a great collaborative activity to work on within your group to prepare for the exam.  Please bring a #2 pencil on the exam date.

We went over the binder contents/structure several, several times in class.  Please be sure to check each section and item for the HICROM components (heading, ink, complete, rings, order, maintained).  Work with classmates to compare and repair contents.

Please prepare for the exam by doing the study guide (hard copy provided in class).

Please follow all directions for the packet (ink, placement, heading, legibility...).  A hard copy will be given in class.  A pdf copy of the chapter is attached as well as a copy of the text brought home in September.

This is an optional task in NEWSELA.  To receive credit for the Project/Paper/Portfolio category you MUST submit both the quiz at 75%+ AND a one paragraph response of 5-8 sentences using "evidence".  It must be submitted by 3 pm on Thursday, December 16th.  NO EXEPTIONS.

You will be working either alone or with one partner to analyze the documents by completing the scaffolding questions, a thesis statement, and a graphic organizer to determine the causes of the American Revolution.  The packet will be given in class.

Hard copies will be given in class.

Place the packet given in class behind the Quarter 1 stapled guides.  Enter the titles on your Section 4 Table of Contents without dates until assigned in class.

This is an in-class assignment.  Please read the rubric first, then the directions for each map.

Please be sure your binder is up-to-date for 11/1/21 through 12/3/21.  Work must be in order in the correct section, done in ink with the headings completed.  Update all lines "south" of the red lines drawn after the first quarter.

Binders will be on time, well-organized, neat, and useful for being successful in class.  The PowerPoint attached is a guide to prepare your first binder.  FYI: we've gone over this at least twice each week.  Do well!

Create a brochure about you.  It is a Summative PPP (papers, projects, portfolios) grade.  Instructions are attached if needed.

This is work for in-class pairs.  Please note that hard copies will be given in class.  Each student must submit their own copy with their name first and then their partner's.

We will work on this in class on Tuesday, September 7th.  The slide show will help the beginning stages of this Executive Functioning part of the class.  Please be prepared with your binder, dividers, and a PEN. Once you have organized the binder following directions, please mark this done and submit it.

Hi, Y'all!
This is what you'll need for our class ASAP (be reasonable with that!):
binder with at least 5 dividers (not a spiral notebook!!!)
wide-ruled paper
black/blue AND red pens (erasable is best); a couple of #2 pencils with erasers that work well
either two plastic or four paper folders with BOTH pockets AND center tabs (buy them now while prices are good)
Other stuff is in the syllabus...this is what you'll need for a great start.
