 I teach MYP English II all day, I'm excited to start a new year with our sophomores!

 

Students will read stories from diverse authors and engage in research and conversations about issues of social justice and identity. These discussions are grounded in a shared understanding of empathy and the practice of perspective taking. 

Throughout the year, students will also regularly produce written work, engage in editing and revision, participate in scholarly discussions, and improve their vocabulary. 

I want to ensure that all of my students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. I will do my part in helping students achieve their potential by: updating Google Classroom, responding promptly to emails, providing encouraging and constructive feedback, chances to show growth, and creating a safe space for all students to engage in meaningful conversations.
