Jerry Zhu

Dear Amundsen Community,

My name is Jerry Zhu and I am a math teacher at Amundsen High School. You can call me "Mr.Z". My pronouns are "he/him". I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in 2020 with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. I graduated with a Masters in ESL and Bilingual Education from the American College of Education in 2020. I graduated with a Masters in Teacher Leadership from the American College of Education in 2021. I am a Golden Apple Scholar; class of 2016. I am endorsed in high school mathematics, English as a second language, and learning behavior specialist 1. I am a sixth year teacher and I am excited to teach Algebra 1 and IB Applications and Interpretations this year. I coach the Academic Decathlon team (MWF - Room 125 - 3PM - 5PM) and the Math team (Tuesday - Room 123 - 3PM - 4:20PM).
