Lockdown 1/29/19

January 29, 2019

Dear Amundsen High School Parents:

The safety of your children is among our top priorities, which is why I want to make you aware that Amundsen High School went into a Lockdown momentarily at approximately 11:15am. Because we take every threat seriously, school administration immediately put the school on Lockdown when the Chicago Police Department notified us that there was a disturbance outside of the school.  The situation was resolved as the lockdown was called so it was cancelled almost immediately.  All of the students are currently safe and secure.

We always work closely with the Chicago Police Department and the CPS Office of Safety and Security with the goal of maintaining a safe educational environment for our students.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (773) 534-2320 or at [email protected]. The faculty, staff, and I appreciate your support and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Anna Pavichevich, Principal
