Graduation ~ Jorndt Stadium, 5101 N. Leavitt
Students check-in at the AHS parking lot (the processional will start from Amundsen)
Students may invite up to 4 guests Each guest must have a ticket, this includes infants and children.
Complete this Graduation Registration form by June 9th to reserve your tickets.
All individuals attending must wear a mask and have a completed CPS Health Screener. (use Amundsen HS as the location). The Screener must be completed on the day of and prior to arrival. Failure of either a screener or temperature check will prevent entry into the graduation.
As we adhere to Chicago Public School COVID Guidelines please read carefully the Check In and Graduation process:
GUEST CHECK IN:
Doors open at 9:30am.
Students must arrive at least 45 minutes before the graduation start time. (Allow yourself time to park, complete the screening process and check-in.) ONCE THE CEREMONY HAS BEGUN, NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED.
After completing the screener, walk over to the Check-In Table.
All attendees for the graduate must check- in together as they will be seated together. If all parties have not arrived please do not check in. Have the name of the graduate and the exact number of people that reserved seating.

9:30 am - Only Graduates with caps and gowns will meet in the AHS parking lot. Graduates will be organized by Advisory and begin to line up for the processional.
9:30 am - Guests may enter Jorndt Stadium from Leavitt Ave. Guests must check-in and be seated together.
10:30am - Graduation begins promptly!
10:25am - 10:45am –Doors will be CLOSED during the procession.
10:45am- Any graduate or guests arriving after the processional begins will not be admitted until all graduates are seated following the National Anthem.
After the graduation ceremony students will return to the parking lot to receive their final documents.
PARKING is available in the Amundsen lot south of the school (enter through Damen Ave.) Parking is limited. Please plan your time accordingly.
REMINDERS:
We ask that you respect the significance of this event and help us to ensure that the dignity of the ceremony is respected. Please adhere to all guidelines and rules set forth by Chicago Public Schools:
Be Punctual.
Flowers may be given to graduates AFTER graduation.
No balloons are allowed in the stadium. Balloon vendors are typically located outside the university. Please do not purchase balloons from these vendors or bring your own balloons. Balloons will not be allowed in the stadium.
No inflatables, silly string, confetti, air horns or noise makers are allowed.
Parents, relatives, and friends are expected to remain in their seats throughout the duration of the ceremony. No one will be permitted to leave their seats to take pictures or videotape during the processional or during the awarding of diplomas. A professional photographer will take pictures of each graduate as they earn their diplomas. The proofs of these pictures will be mailed directly to each student and there will be a number of different options from which to choose. The completed orders will be mailed to the graduate in several weeks.
Photos may be taken outside of Jorndt Stadium before and after the graduation ceremony.
