Fundamentals of Information Technology (FIT) (Period 4)

Course Description

FIT is designed to introduce students to the breadth of the field of computer science through engaging social and technical topics. This course is designed to focus on teaching and learning about how computing hardware, software, and services are used to help solve problems or enhance the lives of people in our society.

The goal of FIT is to develop students' abilities to think in terms of algorithms, to solve problems using technology, and to create software programs that model solutions. In this course, students learn about different computing devices, working with online services, cyber security and privacy, programming, digital communications, and robotics.
