Mobile App & Game Development (Period 6 - 7)

Technology has a language and it’s called “code”. At Amundsen, we believe coding is an essential skill. So, we designed this pioneering course to teach Seniors the Swift coding language on Mac laptops. Using these devices, students create fun and useful Apps that are then synced (transferred) to iPhones and iPads to be used.

This is a dual-credit course for Seniors and they will pickup where they left off last year by perfecting the design and programming skills acquired during their Junior year. We emphasize improving the Apps they create based upon feedback they will gather from "real users". By the end of this course, students are expected to have high quality Apps ready to submit to the Apple App Store for sale. Their skills are further assessed by them completing an industry standard certification test.
