About the Film
College Behind Bars, a four-part documentary film series directed by award-winning filmmaker Lynn Novick, produced by Sarah Botstein, and executive produced by Ken Burns, tells the story of a small group of incarcerated men and women struggling to earn college degrees and turn their lives around in one of the most rigorous and effective prison education programs in the United States – the Bard Prison Initiative.

Mikva Challenge 2020 Iowa Campaign Trip Application

This January 17th – 19th, 2020, Mikva Challenge will take 100 students from Chicago, Michigan, DC, and other cities throughout the country to Des Moines, Iowa, to campaign for presidential candidates in advance of the 2020 Iowa Caucus.

Participating students will campaign for an assigned presidential candidate AND
attend a Youth Issues Summit with peers from across the US.
