In the context of the text, Everyday Use, can you change your identity? How important is a person’s heritage to their identity? Do you think your heritage is something you can control or alter? Why or why not?

Happy Wednesday!
Here is the activity sheet for the independent reading. I know that you have just been reading, and hopefully enjoying, the freedom of just taking the novel in . This builds that reading muscle that is so important. I would recommend that you find a regular time and place to do this reading. I know there are many challenges with being at home, but it will help you be prepared when we do return.
The attached document details what you can do when you are finished with the book. There are responses and projects associated with this task that can score you some extra credit points. Please read it carefully. At the end I attached another part that you can continue if you finish your book and want to move on to another one.
Come April 13, we will probably start some online learning that will require assignments being completed. I will probably do some small group online discussions of your texts, so please fill out the google form so I can invite you to the correct forum. This will be required, so please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, worries, or even successes to share.
I look forward to when we can all be together again. Until that time, Happy Reading!!
