Hoy, en la clase,  vamos a trabajar en el proyecto: Los artistas hispanos. 


Vean y completen el bosquejo (outline) del proyecto.

Mira cada obra y describe lo que (what) ves incluyendo las respuestas a las siguientes preguntas en tu párrafo de descripción de la obra de arte. 
Puedes incluir, también, cualquier conocimiento previo (whatever prior knowledge) acerca de los pintores y/o sus obras que tal vez sepas (that you might know). 
Contesta estas 4 preguntas para cada obra:  
  Describe todo lo que ves en la pintura: en el primer plano, en el centro, en el fondo, objetos y colores en la foto, etc...
¿Cuál es el mensaje o propósito de la obra? El propósito/mensaje es… 
¿Cómo te sientes (do you feel) cuando la ves? Me siento… 
¿Te gusta la obra? ¿Por qué sí o por qué no? Sí/No me gusta esta obra porque…


Recomendaciones: Usa el presente de los verbos regulares e irregulares. Usa la hoja de vocabulario y usa palabras relacionadas con el arte.

En parejas van a comparar y contrastar con MUCHOS DETALLES las dos obras de arte:

1. Mira el cuadro " La familia presidencial" de Fernando Botero. Es una representación de las Meninas de Diego Velázquez. 


2. Usa la hoja de vocabulario y los apuntes para describir el cuadro y contestar las preguntas.

DIARIO #1: ¿Qué valores son importantes para tu familia? 
¿Qué valores te inculcan tus padres en la casa? ¿Es el amor incondicional, la responsabilidad, la inclusividad y la tolerancia valores que se inculcan en la casa? ¿Cómo? Explica. 
¿Qué valores te inculcan los profesores en la escuela? 
DIARIO #2:
1. Describe lo que es “una madre ideal” en tu opinión.  Incluye ejemplos de lo que hace para su familia diariamente.
2.  ¿Se puede considerar a 2 personas casadas, sin hijos, una familia?  ¿Por qué sí o por qué no?
Follow the conventions of the text type to write a journal entry.

Please read the amended syllabus for the first semester. 


There are some changes to the incomplete/missing assignments. 


Please read/sign it and date it. You do not have to complete the contact sheet.

1. Read and annotate the text. Underline ALL the cognates and the words you understand using two different colors. Use context clues and infer  meaning from the text for the words that you do not understand. 


2. In your notes, make a list of the family values (from the reading)  in Spanish and in English mentioned in the text. 


3. Answer the questions on page 3. 


4. Submit your work digitally on GC. Remember to click the "TURNED IN" button.

We will work on this exercise in class and you will complete number 4-5 for homework. Use a different color to identify the concepts See the example provided. 


1. Read and annotate each prompt. Underline cognates and words that you understand in Spanish. You will infer meaning and use context clues for the words you do not comprehend in Spanish. 


2. Read the writing tasks again and identify the concepts presented in each task: audience, context, meaning, purpose and variations. 


3. You will submit everything on GC.
