Objective: I can write a description of myself. I can write simple sentences In Spanish. I can write on familiar topics using appropriate grammar, punctuation and capitalization.

Assignment: Your teacher has been so impressed with your performance in Spanish class that you get a star on the “Wall of Fame”! Follow the directions below to complete your autobiographical star. Write everything in complete sentences in Spanish! Use the verb SER.


On lines 1 and 2 answer this question: Say hello and answer: ¿Cómo te llamas?
On line 3 answer these 2 questions: ¿De dónde eres? ¿De qué nacionalidad eres tú?
On line 4 tell me that you are a student in a secondary school and state the name of the school.
On line 5 use a verb and three adjectives to answer this question: ¿Cómo eres tú?
On line 6 in a complete sentence, use two adjectives to tell me something you’re not (ex. Lazy)
On line 7 in a complete sentence, tell me what kind of friend you are.
On line 8 write “I am (nickname)” in Spanish. You may write your nickname in Spanish.
On line 9 write “I am a brilliant star (una estrella brillante)” in Spanish
Color and decorate your star. Be creative. You may use google slide to be more creative with your star.

Individually, you will describe (in writing) each person in Spanish using the questions provided:

2. Estudiante A will ask and Estudiante B will answer. You will take turns asking and answering the questions for each picture on the slide. Estudiante B will ask and estudiante A will answer.

1. You will work in pairs in a break out room: Estudiante A y estudiante B. You may choose to be either student A or B. You will take turns describing each person.

2. Estudiante A will ask the questions in Spanish and estudiante B will answer. Then, you will move on to the next famous person and estudiante B will ask and estudiante A will answer.

3. In Spanish, you will VERBALLY describe the following famous Hispanic/Spanish people using the questions provided:
¿Quién es? ¿De dónde es? ¿De qué nacionalidad es? ¿Cómo es? (Usa 3 adjetivos para describir a la persona) ¿Cómo no es?

4. Use the word bank to help you state their professions: artista, cantante, jugador de fútobl, jugador de béisbol, actriz, actor, activista.

Tarea: If you do not finish completing the slides in class, you must finish them for homework.

Attached you will find a video with the descriptions vocabulary and today's practice with the descriptive adjectives. There is also a vocabulary list in one of the slides.

Today we are going to work on slides 4 - 12 in class. We are going to watch the video and listen to the pronunciation of the adjectives.

You may work directly on the slides since it is an interactive practice.

3) Describe the people in the pictures based on the video you watched. You may rewatch the video as many times as you'd like. Use the adjectives to describe the people.I will pause the video for each picture. Provide two-three descriptive adjectives for each person.

Instrucciones:
This has 10 answers to one of four questions: “¿De dónde eres tú?,” “¿De qué nacionalidad eres tú?,” “¿De dónde es usted?” and “¿De qué nacionalidad es usted?”.

You must pick the correct question to ask based on the answer and who is speaking (for instance, if your friend is talking, you would use tú, but if your principal was talking, you would use usted).

This helps you not only practice the questions, but also the use of tú and usted!

Pick the correct country to go with the nationality, or the correct nationality to go with the country!

Partner work: After you have completed the first activity, work with a partner to ask and answer the questions. We will work on this on Friday in break-out rooms.

• Conversation Activity:

1. Pairs - break out rooms : Estudiante A and Estudiante B - You may choose to be either A or B.

2. Ask your partner the QUESTION under PREGUNTA. Then give them the HINT in the second column.

3. You say everything that is in BOLD. They should answer using “Yo soy” or “Yo soy de,” depending on the question.

4. You write down what they say.

5. Then, your partner will ask you the same question, but with a different hint.

6. This assignment is due at the end of the class and must be submitted by 8:36am. Since this is an oral conversational activity, you will not be able to submit this assignment at a later time.
