Amundsen Math Team tied for 2nd in Div. B at DeVry Site for CCML
Algebra I Team placed 1st, and Precalculus took 2nd. Jonnathan Castillo and Faiza Mistry tied for 2nd in Algebra I; Cecilia Agyapong, Elizabeth Bonilla, and Steve Tobar tied for 3rd in Algebra I; David Weatherston took 2nd placed in Geometry; and Asher Stuhlman took 1st in Precalculus Accelerated.

2008 IB Diplomas
Congratulations to the following students for earning the pretigous IB Diploma: Jillian Avila, Klaire Desuyo, Raluca Hulea, Kiara Montoya and Sandy Morales. A total of 99 IB Certificates were earned by Amundsen students this year.

Amundsen IBMYP Students attend Holocaust Remembrance Day Program and Luncheon.
Several Amundsen IBMYP Freshmen recently attended a Holocaust Remembrance Day program and luncheon sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Special Events. The annual event, held this year on April 17th at the new Spertus Museum, gives students an opportunity to listen to and learn from Holocaust survivors while honoring those who died in the genocide. The students recently completed a unit of study on the Holocaust and other 20th Century genocides as part of their World Studies course.
