Class of 2024 Freshman Welcome Week July 27th-31st

FRESHMAN WELCOME WEEK INFO

Who:	All incoming freshman are eligible and will receive an email invitation to attend.
What:	All students will have a chance to meet a large and diverse sample of teachers and coaches while attending these 45min long sessions. Sessions are broken down into 4 Groups: Counselor Introduction (SEL), How To Sessions, Introduction To Session, Team Building Sessions. Students will also be assigned a day to come to school (masks required) to pick-up their Welcome Week T-Shirt.
When:	Monday, July 27^th2020, starting at 8:00am-12:00pm. 4 Sessions a day for the entire week ending Friday, July 31^st 2020.
Why:	We want to ensure that all incoming freshman are ready to embark on their freshman year on the correct foot! Whether or not we are in-person or remote, we want students to come in with the confidence and the skills to succeed in their new environment here at Amundsen.
Where:	Remotely from your home computer.
How:	All students will be broken into groups. Students will then receive a weekly schedule with links and codes to their group’s specific schedule.

*Initial invitation emails will have attachments of school documents that should be signed and returned to the school during the in-person T-shirt pick-up day students are assigned. (These documents need to be on file with original signatures)

Students will be receiving their schedule for the orientation on July 23rd. This will also have their assigned time to pick up their t-shirt and drop off the forms. For parents convenience, if the assigned time slot does not work with your schedule, Mr. Pedersen will be at school from 8am-1pm durning the week of the 27th. You can come by any day M-F of that orientation week to pick-up the shirt and drop-off the form. Please email in advance to ensure that someone is available to meet you at the door.
