About Ms. O'Donnell:
Ms. O'Donnell received her Bachelor's in Art Education from a program partnership between Loyola University Chicago and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also earned her Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership from North Park University. She has completed certification from the Open Studio Project in both Social Emotional Learning and Open Studio Process facilitation.
 
"Madame" as her French students call her hails from a French immigrant family and has done her French language study with The Alliance Francaise de Chicago, Immersion Chicago, and The French Institute of the North Shore. At Roycemore School in Evanston, IL, she had the privilege of co-teaching a class in which she and another teacher taught visual arts in French language immersion. Teaching World Language through interactive, experiential, and comprehensible lessons is her objective.
 
She was a visiting art teacher to seven different Chicago Public Schools in the past, as well as, an art and French teacher at Roycemore School for 17 years. Her passion is meeting her students where they are and sharing with them the power of art and language in the world.
 
Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling to France, doing yoga, gardening, and of course, painting in her own studio.
