SAT/PSAT Testing Information

Most of our students with disabilities participate in the state-mandated PSAT and SAT assessments. However, due to their Individual Education Plans (IEPs), they are provided accommodations for these tests. Accommodations are determined at the IEP meeting by the IEP team.

PSAT Testing (9th & 10th grade):
PSAT accommodations must be approved by the College Board prior to testing. The Case Manager will work with the Amundsen Accommodations Coordinator submit evidence to the College Board for approval of SAT accommodations for students. Most accommodations result in extra time and breaks unless other accommodations are noted in the IEP. The Amundsen Accommodations Coordinator will submit this evidence in mid-February for 9th and 10th graders taking the PSAT in the spring.

SAT Testing (11th grade):
SAT accommodations must be approved by the College Board prior to testing. The Case Manager will work with the Amundsen Accommodations Coordinator to submit evidence to the College Board for approval of SAT accommodations for students. Most accommodations result in extra time, unless other accommodations are noted in the IEP. The Amundsen Accommodations Coordinator will submit this evidence in mid-February for 11th graders taking the SAT in the spring.
