About Ms. Poulos

Greetings! 

 

This 2023-24 school year will mark my fifth year teaching English Language Arts at Amundsen High School. This year I am honored to teach IB/H English III and Theory of Knowledge II to our wonderful junior and senior Vikings! When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me coaching the Girls+ Water Polo team in the spring. Born and raised on the pool deck, I cherish my time getting to know our Vikings in the classroom and outside of the classroom (sports, music, clubs, etc). I wholeheartedly believe in the power of knowing my students (academically and personally) in order to motivate them to succeed and set high expectations for themselves. My teaching style is driven by kindness and empathy.  

 

I will have private office hours by appointment (3rd, 6th, 7th, or after school). Students are highly encouraged to email me and request a one-on-one meeting. Parents can email me with any questions or concerns.
