I have been teaching here at Amundsen for over 15 years. I have taught many different types of classes throughout the English department over the years: Freshman Writing, Sophomore English, Creative Writing, Senior Seminar, and English IV, both honors and regular levels.
The Amundsen community is important to me and I am an active participant in various collaborative staff committees and student groups. I am one of the Creative Writing Club advisors and I direct the student-run Amundsen Haunted House. My passions are writing, literature, empowering student voice, and fostering mentor relationships with my students. I am also adamant about student choice and empowering seniors with the knowledge of their possible future choices after graduation. I have been teaching Senior Seminar, a senior transitional class, for the duration of my teaching experience, and I am always excited to help students on to various future paths.
