¡Bienvenidos a todos!

Welcome to my page!

I am happy to be in my second year here at Amundsen. Before moving to Chicago, I was living and teaching in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

While I am originally from Milwaukee, I attended the University of Minnesota for my undergrad. Immediately following, I attended UW-Madison, where I received an M.A. in Spanish Literature. After graduating, I decided I wanted to be a K-12 teacher, so I went back to Minnesota to get my K-12 Spanish license and Master of Language Education.

Here at Amundsen I feel very lucky to teach Spanish classes to native and heritage speakers. I love my job! I also am happy to serve as the World Language Department Chair, sponsor of the International Travel Program, a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, as well as Dance Coach for the past two years.

Please enjoy a look at the scope and sequence for Spanish for Heritage Speakers, Levels 1-3. Due to our school's adopting of MYP for all, there is no differentiation in units taught for IB vs. non-IB courses.
