Meet Nicole Cordero

Hello!

My name is Nicole Cordero and I teach MYP English 1.

Here's a little about me: 

• This will be my 16th year as an educator (my 14th as a proud Viking)!
• I take great joy in partnering with young people and their families.  
• My son makes me laugh harder than anyone in the world.
• My husband gave someone the Heimlich maneuver on our first date. I still think he set it all up to impress me. :)
• I achieved National Board Certification in 2014. 
• I grew up “playing school” in my basement, which my parents lovingly helped me transform into my own classroom with an old chalkboard, a faded American flag, and a cup of red pens. My brothers did NOT like being my students. 
• I strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with students that are empathetic, supportive, and challenging.
• I am inspired by my students daily!
