Students will function in the language in context and will demonstrate an understanding of Hispanic culture, geography, and history and their influence on the Spanish language. The course is designed to teach beginning grammar and basic vocabulary, with an emphasis on meaningful communication. There is also a cultural component that exposes students to the geography and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
