Dual Credit Business (Period 7)

Course Description

This course provides students with an overview of modern U.S. and global business, finance and accounting, banking, stock market basics, entrepreneurship and business models, product design, supply chain management, analyzing organization and types of businesses, major business functions, business and the environment, roles played by business and consumers in the economy, economic systems, business and ethics, and business law.  
 
This class is offered in association with the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC). Students enrolled in this course are enrolled both at the high school and at the CCC. Students taking this course will receive 1.0 high school elective credit for the full year, counting toward high school graduation, and 3.0 semester hours of elective 100 level business college credit, accepted throughout Illinois by all public higher education institutions as well as many private institutions both instate and out of state.
