Period 2 English II-Widman 001 Assignments

Follow the instructions on the slides for this week as you read and interact with the poem, :New Day's Lyric" by Amanda Gorman.  You will be marking up the text with your thoughts about the poem, the annotating any literary devices that you see.  Lastly you will be revising your understanding of the poem's meaning.  Then, create your own stanza to add to the poem.  Consider using the kinds of devices and style that Gorman uses.  Extra Stanza due on Wednesday.

This is an inclass essay.  The form will be given and administered in class.  See the slides for week 15 to guide you in your understanding.
