Period 1: Exploring Computer Science-007 Assignments

Write a note in binary using yesterday's assignment. It needs to be at least 15 characters long. You can either do it on paper or a google doc. 
NEEDS TO BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!

10 - for questions
5 - for vision board

I will be printing whatever you have done when I return on Thursday 01/13. You may use this on the test. This is to help guide your studying. It is not for an actual grade. 

Use 5 bit binary for this. Googling the correct binary for each letter will give you the wrong answer.

Pick either the slide deck or the word doc to complete. If you choose the doc, you need to make your own copy and upload to this assignment. 

Choose an hour of code that you are interested in. 
Complete the hour of code. Upload your certificate and either leave a comment or create a google doc with a paragraph about what you did/what you learned. 

This is not for a grade. It is simply to see what we know now and then what we learned at the end of the unit. 

Read the article and do the questions at the end

Whoever creates the slide deck should share it with their members and make sure that it is attached here. 
Presentations will be tomorrow (11/09). NO EXCEPTIONS

For the first check-in on this assignment, you only need to do the first two columns and the three questions at the bottom. We will do the other columns later.

You do not need to upload anything to this assignment. It is just for grading purposes. You have already completed it and the opportunity to present in class has past. 

Must be turned in by 8:05 to earn ATL points for this assignment.  Anything late will be docked points.

For EC: Complete a second writing activity.

Read the article, take the quiz and complete the writing activity. 
Remember that a paragraph is a minimum of 4 sentences. 

-Type your biopoem on one of the three platforms that we learned this week (docs, slides, or drawings)
-Alter the font in color, style, and size.
-Add a shape
-Add a picture

Things to keep in mind:
*Is the font big enough?
*Does it look professional?
*Is it aesthetically pleasing?
*Are you comfortable sharing what is written in your poem?
*Are the pictures pertinent and appropriately sized.

If you are doing docs:
-Change line spacing to take up one whole page.

If you are doing slides:
-Should be at least two slides (title + poem) but could be more
-Should have transitions between slides
-Should have a theme

If you are doing drawings:
-Include wordart

This is not for a grade but please try. 


Once you are done, you may work on other work.

Create a google doc that has the following
Title
Bullet points for each letter of your name
A word that starts with each letter of your name
3 words that are highlighted
3 words that have the font changed in color and style
3 words that are underlined, bolded or italicized.

Create 5 Slides with animations

1 Title Slide
4 Slides about your summer and what you're looking forward to this year
Each slide should include pictures and texts
Need to transitions between slides
At least one item needs to have animation
Slides should look professional.
